The Annual International Chambers Christmas Luncheon was a truly memorable gathering of Ohio’s international business community, and, following last year’s impressive turnout, the event was once again a resounding success, with all seats filled. Hosted by the British-American Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with fellow International Chambers, the event brought together a diverse and engaged audience for an afternoon of insight, connection, and celebration.

Keynote speaker Hajime “Jimmy” Kishimori, Consul General of Japan in Detroit, delivered thoughtful and timely remarks that resonated strongly with attendees. His reflections on the Consulate’s ongoing mission to foster and strengthen Japan’s economic, governmental, educational, cultural, and people-to-people relations with Ohio sparked a lively and engaging discussion. The enthusiastic Q&A that followed clearly reflected the audience’s deep interest and commitment to strengthening international ties.

Beyond the program, the luncheon offered excellent opportunities for networking in a festive and welcoming atmosphere, with plenty of meaningful conversations and shared moments of fun throughout the afternoon.

Following the luncheon, a focused roundtable discussion was held with representatives from 14 companies and organizations. The session provided valuable insights, practical perspectives, and concrete takeaways, further reinforcing the strength of Ohio’s international engagement and the collaborative spirit of the Chambers.

Overall, the event was a wonderful celebration of global partnership, thoughtful dialogue, and community—an ideal way to close the year together.
