DAVID C. SINCLAIR has been President of Advanced Hydro Solutions since its formation in 2004. He has been responsible for the development of a series of new hydroelectric projects on non-powered dams. Currently he is engaged in culminating the development work on the 14MW Jennings Randolph Dam on the North Branch of the Potomac. David is also the Interim Executive Director of the Hydropower Foundation which provides research scholarships and hiring programs for the industry.
He has over 49 years in manufacturing engineering, global product marketing, business development and management and is an experienced business builder. He has had a varied career in electrical power starting with the generating authority in the UK and in power equipment with such companies as General Electric and Reliance Electric.
Mr. Sinclair holds an MSEE in Electrical Power Systems Engineering from the University of Manchester in Manchester, England and a BSc. Eng in Electrical Engineering from the University of London. He is a past President of the British-American Chamber of Commerce and is the current President of its associated scholarship foundation known as The Loxley Purse. Currently he serves as Strategic Advisor to the Hydropower Foundation.
