He studied at the University of Birmingham\, England\, The Sorbonne\, Paris\, France and worked in Sydney Australia before Emigrating to the US in 2009. After fifteen years in Northeast Ohio\, Romilly offers a unique perspective\, combining local knowledge with a global outlook. \n\n\n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n\n\n\n\n\nAbout: Christy Woskobojnik \nAs a former Controller\, Christy provides Dyke Yaxley clients with a comprehensive perspective of their tax and operational matters. She applies a consultative approach to help clients grow or setup their U.S. divisions\, navigate through operational challenges\, and implement systems and processes that address a variety of functional issues including sales tax and other state level nexus matters\, payroll and payroll taxation\, financial statement development\, and operational suggestions. Christy has experience in tax preparation\, liaising with the IRS\, and assisting clients in managing their day-to-day accounting-related matters and ongoing filing requirements by providing on-site and remote training programs. \nChristy has traveled to and lived in both the US and UK\, which allows her to effectively bridge the language barrier and explain the nuances between the two countries’ tax systems\, rules\, and cultural differences. She serves as a client advocate\, offers her technical knowledge to assess a comprehensive picture of the client’s tax situation\, and onboards clients to be integrated into DY USA’s family. When needed\, she refers clients to DY USA’s network of trusted outside professionals who provide ancillary services associated with running a business in the US. We warmly invite everyone from Cleveland’s international community to attend this special event\, featuring keynote speaker Sushan Demirjian\, who serves as the Assistant United States Trade Representative for Small Business\, Market Access\, and Industrial Competitiveness. \nSushan Demirjian is responsible for developing\, coordinating\, and implementing U.S. trade policy related to a broad range of U.S. manufacturing and industrial sectors\, such as information and communications technology\, autos\, capital goods\, machinery and equipment\, chemicals\, energy\, steel and other metals\, pharmaceuticals and medical devices\, forest products\, and consumer products. She also oversees USTR’s efforts to expand trade opportunities for U.S. small and medium-sized businesses. \nMs. Demirjian joined USTR in 2007 and has led market access and industrial goods negotiations in the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) and with the United Kingdom\, Kenya\, Japan\, Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP)\, and Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP). She also worked on the World Trade Organization (WTO) Doha Round negotiations related to non-agricultural market access (NAMA). \nPrior to joining USTR\, Ms. Demirjian was Director of International Trade at the American Chemistry Council\, the key association representing the U.S. chemical industry. DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to annouce that our sister chapter\, BAB London\, will be hosting this year’s Transatlantic Conference in London this June. \nEach year\, the BritishAmerican Business Network brings together its members of all 23 chapters throughout the North America and the UK for an annual business conference. The aim is to convene senior-level business executives and government representatives actively involved in trade\, investment and business flows between North America and the UK. \nThis conference offers a series of roundtables\, plenary sessions and networking receptions for over 150 guests.
