This is also a great opportunity to learn about Kent State’s Fashion Program\, their special connection with London\, and how the Loxley Purse Foundation supports students in their semester abroad studies in the UK. We will also have a presentation by Kent State Fashion Student Natalie K. who is our most recent Scholarship recipient of the Loxley Purse on her experience of studying at Regents University London last fall. \n  \nAbout Our Speaker\n \nThe Fashion School’s Industry Liaison & Internship Director\, Hillary M. Stone\, is ready to assist students in bridging their education to the professional world through the Internship Program and Professional Practice. Professor Stone received her B.A. in Interior Design from Ursuline College and a M.S. in Historic Preservation from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her academic career as Department Chair and Faculty reflects her commitment to higher education developing and championing students. Through her service in corporate business\, she gained an understanding of the necessary tools and standards needed to enter and achieve upper mobility in the professional arena. With various programming\, Professor Stone established and continues to strengthen the Fashion School’s industry partners\, while creating new opportunities for students and faculty. DESCRIPTION:The British Cultural Garden Association (a sister organization of the BACC) would like to invite you to their event being hosted in conjunction with the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation. \nFrom Shakespeare to Irish jigs\, enjoy an evening with the British and Irish Gardens. The event will feature Rubber City Theater\, an Akron-based Shakespeare company performing excerpts from plays you know and love; Celtic Rush\, an Irish and British folk band with fiddles\, guitars\, mandolins and Irish drums that will have you hopping to jigs and reels; and the Murphy Irish Arts Center will perform traditional Irish dance. Don’t miss this very fun night! \n5 p.m. performance\, pre-show talk at 4:30 p.m. \nThe World on Stage at the Cleveland Cultural Gardens \nA series of multicultural music\, dance\, spoken word and theater at the Gardens’ new Centennial Peace Plaza at 1051 Martin Luther King Blvd. Our July events will be presented in conjunction with Cleveland Public Theater. \nParking on the west side of Martin Luther King Boulevard and on East Boulevard. We always welcome new faces and would love for you to attend any of our events. \nBACC Ohio aims to aid in the development and advancement of US/UK young professionals here in Ohio\, through utilizing our network to support their growth and provide mentorship. We are keen to help our members & attendees grow their network\, learn from their peers and advance in their careers. \nThe group gets together at least once per month for our regular happy hour\, which rotates between different bars in the Cleveland area.
