DESCRIPTION:  \nKSU’s Hillary Stone and The Business of Fashion in London\nPlease join us on Friday 10th June for our monthly Link Club luncheon in collaboration with the Loxley Purse Foundation at the Cleveland Skating Club as we welcome Professor Hillary Stone from Kent State University’s Fashion School for a special presentation on the Business of Fashion in London. \nLearn about the economics and other tangible elements that make London one of the fashion capitals of the world. This is also a great opportunity to learn about Kent State’s Fashion Program\, their special connection with London\, and how the Loxley Purse Foundation supports students in their semester abroad studies in the UK. We will also have a presentation by Kent State Fashion Student Natalie K. who is our most recent Scholarship recipient of the Loxley Purse on her experience of studying at Regents University London last fall. \n  \nAbout Our Speaker\n \nThe Fashion School’s Industry Liaison & Internship Director\, Hillary M. Stone\, is ready to assist students in bridging their education to the professional world through the Internship Program and Professional Practice. Professor Stone received her B.A. in Interior Design from Ursuline College and a M.S. in Historic Preservation from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her academic career as Department Chair and Faculty reflects her commitment to higher education developing and championing students. Through her service in corporate business\, she gained an understanding of the necessary tools and standards needed to enter and achieve upper mobility in the professional arena. With various programming\, Professor Stone established and continues to strengthen the Fashion School’s industry partners\, while creating new opportunities for students and faculty. Her present research involves developing learning tools and workshops to support international students and domestic students planning to intern/work abroad. \n  \nAbout BACC’s Link Club\nThe BACC’s Link Club Luncheon’s provide another great opportunity to connect with the international business community here in Ohio. Our events allow both our members and their guests to meet new friends and colleagues whilst sharing knowledge\, perspectives\, and opportunities both here and abroad. \nThis event is open to both members & non-members of the BACC and the British-American Business Council Network \nThere are three menu choices for lunch: Chicken\, Salmon or Vegan.
