Consul General Richard Hyde recently completed a weeklong visit to Ohio, underscoring the state’s increasing importance in transatlantic trade, investment, and innovation.

Throughout his travels from Cleveland to Columbus to Cincinnati, Consul General Hyde met with key leaders—government officials, legislators, political strategists, and business executives—who are shaping Ohio’s economic future.

Discussions covered critical sectors like aerospace, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, and sustainable aviation, reaffirming the UK’s strong presence in Ohio’s evolving economy. As business ties continue to strengthen and new opportunities for collaboration emerge, the visit highlighted the deepening and expanding partnership between the UK and Ohio.

During the Consul General’s visit to Cleveland, BACC hosted an International Chambers of Commerce Cocktail Party, with the Consul General himself delivering an inspiring keynote as the guest speaker!
